Just a few minutes from Porto Cervo, Pevero Beach captures the combination of natural beauty and discreet luxury that made the Costa Smeralda famous. The area is actually formed by two nearby beaches, Grande Pevero and Piccolo Pevero, both facing an exceptionally clear stretch of sea.
Grande Pevero is the longer and more spacious of the two, while Piccolo Pevero is smaller and more intimate. Both have pale, soft sand and water that ranges from emerald green to bright turquoise.
Where Pevero is
The beaches lie in the municipality of Arzachena, within the Porto Cervo area. They can be reached quickly from Porto Cervo Marina and from many nearby hotels and residences. The surrounding landscape mixes Mediterranean scrub, shaped junipers and low vegetation with carefully integrated buildings.
The shallow sandy seabed makes swimming easy, while the clarity of the water is ideal for snorkeling. Wooden walkways help protect the vegetation and guide visitors toward the shore.
Grande Pevero and Piccolo Pevero
Grande Pevero is roughly 300 metres long and offers more room, broad views and opportunities for water activities. Piccolo Pevero, at around 120 metres, feels more secluded and is especially popular with couples and visitors looking for a quieter setting.
Despite the proximity of resorts and yachts, the beaches retain a strong connection with nature. Fish can often be seen close to shore and seabirds are common along the rocky sections.
Things to do and services
Snorkeling, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding are among the easiest ways to enjoy the bay. Coastal paths also connect the area with other small coves. Seasonal services include beach clubs, sunbed and umbrella rental, bars, restaurants, toilets and nearby paid parking.
Porto Cervo offers luxury hotels, private villas, boutique properties and a wide choice of restaurants. For a quieter experience, May, June and September are excellent choices; July and August bring the liveliest atmosphere and the largest crowds.
Pevero succeeds because it balances two different worlds: the glamour of the Costa Smeralda and the simplicity of a beautiful Sardinian beach.
